[ndnh] blade of mercy

In a shop I found a "split-bladed short sword" (444 zks. @ Ch:18).
In the objects.c list it's identified as a _blade of mercy_.
In the Nethack Wiki I only found a FIQHack property names mercy:
"Mercy: autocurses and converts damage to healing, healing the
opponent the equal amount as it would otherwise have damaged"
which sounds very disadvantageous.

Can anyone shed some light on that notDNethack non-artifact sword?

It is an insight weapon that has nothing to do with the FIQHack
property. Its effects are described in the commit message that added
it[1], as well as on the Insight wiki page, but the description in the
commit message is more complete.
