[evilhack] Gifts from sacrifices - ordinary vs. artifact weapon
(too old to reply)

In EvilHack I've got "a blessed fireproof +3 bone broadsword of fire"
from a sacrifice, i.e. an ordinary weapon with the "fire property"
that "does 1d5 + 3 of extra fire damage" (on top of base damage and
enchantment). - Now what's the advantage of having an artifact weapon
with such an intrinsic property (say Firebrand) compared to such an
ordinary weapon with that property?

Firebrand also imparts fire resistance when wielded. <weapon> of fire only delivers fire damage, but does not grant fire resistance.
