[nndnh] Inconsistencies in the game or just features?

In my current notnotdNethack game I observed that my Chiropteran
Barbarian was able to scale Hawaiian shirt and shorts to my size
but while wearing the shirt underwear was possible wearing shorts
wasn't possible. Are the Hawaiian shorts not considered underwear
but armor? (If so then I wasted an upgrade kit.)

Another thing is that I'm carrying a cockatrice corpse for ages in
my bag of holding without decaying. Is that an intentional change
that corpses in bags are preserved?

Hawaiian shorts are indeed armor, but if they are large and barded (as
they would be if you resized them to your size with an upgrade kit), you
should be able to wear them.

This is a timer bug inherited from dNetHack. The cause is currently
unknown.

Hawaiian shorts are indeed armor, but if they are large and barded (as
they would be if you resized them to your size with an upgrade kit), you
should be able to wear them.

Yes, I was able to wear them. Only I was surprised that they didn't
count as underwear but as armor, making them as such quite useless
at that stage when you have already more real armor available that
is also a lot better than these shorts.

I think the corpse meanwhile vanished (after some loooong period of
time), but didn't notice when (or under which circumstances) that
actually happened.
