In an EvilHack game at Hardfought I see a player with
y - the blessed +3 Sword of Annihilation
e - the blessed +4 Armor of Retribution (being worn)

In the Wiki I read about that sword that it has to be forged to be
created, and that it cannot be wished for, and will revert to its
base item if left in a bones file. That armor, though, also needs
*that* artifact sword to be forged, and we read that it can only
come into existence by forging. So how can both exist in parallel?
Can the armor be obtained from bones?

Thanks. That is a singular bug that only happened in that particular game and has already been fixed. That won't be possible to happen again.

It's a known bug, was the result of a fix that prevented AoR being forged in the first place (since one of its component items was designed to be indestructible) - the fix for that also didn't properly remove SoA after forging. It's since been corrected in master, but that specific game continues as is.
